2008 Totals

Despite the beginning of a slowdown in the economy, especially in our industry, 2008 turned out to be a very good year for our Log A Load donations to the CMN Hospitals in Virginia. Here is the breakdown of Log A Load money donated to the Hospitals in Virginia:
Charlottesville - $71,040
Lynchburg/Roanoke - $46,150
Richmond - $82,875
Kingsport, TN -$ 5006
Total : $205, 071

The Children’s Miracle Network Annual Celebration to honor the “miracle” Champions kids from each state and Canada and Australia and Ireland and Great Britain was held at Disney’ Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, April 19-21. Many sponsors and volunteers were honored and Rich Palermo received one of National Outstanding Volunteer of the Year awards for his efforts with Log a Load here in VA. We should all be so proud of Rich for bringing Log A Load For Kids to the eyes of the Country. Thank you Rich for all you do ! The most rewarding part of the time there for Rich was meeting the kids and their families who we have all helped through our efforts with Log a Load. Mary Lou Retton spoke, Miss America was there as well as Arnold Palmer who was honored for his work and even has the local CMN hospital in Orlando named after him. Delta Airlines flew all the Champions and their families travelling to and from the Orlando Celeration and also to DC to meet with the President and tour our nation’s capital.
